“I attended Lydia Wayman’s presentation (“Pieces of Me: A Life on the Spectrum”) at the Shaler Library on October 3rd. Lydia’s talk was very honest and insightful. Lydia provided a poignant window into the autistic world. She reminded me of the complexity and depth of the heart and mind, and how so often this capacity is underestimated in individuals with autism. She has changed the way I think about autism, and helped me to better understand the struggles and gifts of my son. I will always be grateful.”
